April 10, 2012 4:30PM through 6:00PM
In 2011, the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR) convened a Taskforce to consider the question of what standards and/or guidelines might be established for graduate programs offering degrees in conflict resolution, oriented towards "professional practice." The preliminary First Phase Inquiry Summary Report of the ACR Taskforce report is available by clicking here.
Please join us April 10th at 4:30pm for a conversation around models for teaching conflict analysis and dispute resolution in higher education as well as their implications for the S-CAR community.
Dr. Mara Schoeny, a S-CAR faculty member, is a member of the ACR taskforce. This discussion will provide a unique opportunity for S-CAR students, staff, and faculty to actively dialogue about these important issues and to lend an institutional perspective to the evolution of the draft model standards.
