Peace journalism is a critical part of supporting peace education. Peace journalism provides new narratives to counter the overwhelming stories of violence and fragmentation among communities in Darfur. These narratives can provide examples of communities solving disputes in peaceful ways and possible new strategies for relating to one another and the possible solutions to the conflict. Documenting the impact that peace education, programs, or initiatives have will increase support among the community as well as development organizations and encourage their use as interventions. Stories of peace education can help alter what people see as possible and provide ideas for action and hope to the communities in the conflict regions as well as in the diaspora. Peace education can help all levels of society, starting from the communities living in region as well as the diaspora, to the top institutions within the country.
