Congressional Briefing: Empirical Analysis of Counter-Terrorism Interventions
"When Terrorism and Counterterrorism Clash: The Impact of the Global War on Terrorism on Subsequent Terrorist Activity"
ICAR Visiting Professor Ivan Sascha Sheehan will testify at an upcoming Congressional Briefing in Washington, D.C. on September 10th. The event, titled "Empirical Analyses of Counterterrorism Interventions," is intended to provide members of Congress, the government, and academia with the latest empirical research related to counterterrorism interventions.
The policy briefing, which was organized by George Mason University and the RAND Corporation through the Office of Senator Jim Webb (D-VA), will include a diverse panel of terrorism/ counterterrorism scholars and policy analysts including members of the RAND Corporation, George Mason University, National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism at the University of Maryland, and others.
