Randy Salm

Biography
A native of Wisconsin, Randy Salm has worked as a sociology and 
conflict resolution professor, social science researcher, U.S. AID 
conciliation specialist, juvenile justice trainer,  assistant dean and 
exploitive child labor specialist.  He is fluent in English and Spanish, 
having worked in Colombia and Panama from 1995 to 2002.  He has
 written numerous articles on topics related to conflict resolution, 
peace education and program management.  His book, La Solucion de 
Conflictos en la Escuela (Conflict Resolution in Schools) is widely used 
throughout Latin America to teach CR skills and build CR programs in 
schools.  His specialties include children in difficult circumstances and 
interpersonal skill development.  Since 1990 he has led over 100 
courses and workshops on communication, mediation, problem solving, 
peace education, conflict resolution and juvenile justice.  Randall has a 
BA in History, a MS in Conflict Resolution, a MBA and is currently 
working on his Ph.D. in Public Sociology.  His dissertation focuses on 
socialization issues for child soldiers in Colombia. He is married to a 
wonderful Colombian woman, with two great boys.
