As humanitarian crisis persists in DR Congo with renewed onslaughts from the M23 rebels, the Africa Working Group (AWG) & Friends of Africa presents; local perspectives on the Congolese conflict. This is the first in a series of the analysis of the Africa conflicts by the Africans themselves. The speakers will analyze the historical context of the Congo conflict, the present situation and the future directions of the conflict.

1. Context Setting: History & Background of the Conflict in Congo - Bernard Londoni, Congolese national, Africa Regional Analyst, IJET International Inc. & PhD student at S-CAR.
2. Current Developments on the Congo Conflict - Patrick Hakizimana, former Rwanda refugee and survivor of the massacre in Kissangani, DRC. PhD Student at S-CAR.
3. The Future of the Democratic Republic of Congo - Innocent Rugaragu – former refugee of Rwandan genocide & PhD Student at S-CAR.
