The Undergraduate Research Symposium is an opportunity for Mason's undergraduate students to present their original research projects and experiences in the field that relate to conflict, conflict resolution, and peacebuilding. Hosted by the School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution, the symposium will showcase presentations by students in the program's senior synthesis course, CONF 490. Community members and Mason students, staff, and faculty of all majors are welcome to attend.
Students are encouraged to think creatively about their projects and choose a particular topic, theme, or area within the field that they are interested in. Students have used a variety of theoretical frameworks and research methods for their projects. Below is a sample of past project titles:
