In Prague, there is a museum to communism, located with clever juxtaposition next to the McDonalds. In contrast to the McDonalds, the museum is not well advertised: even when you know where you are going, and have the building address, you still might miss it. I did three times.
I went to the museum because i was curious as to how the Czech's (who still have strong socialist and communist parties) portray communism. I was half expecting to see a caricature of communism dreamed up in cold war paranoia. In contrast, I was also expecting to see an archive of Soviet era Czech Republic, a dry but factual catalogue of artifacts depicting those decades.
