October 20, 2011 7:00PM through 9:00PM
Please join the SA on Thursday, October 20th from 7pm to 9pm in Truland 555. The open forum is an opportunity to meet members of the Student Association, learn more about the organization's work within Mason and S-CAR, and find out how you can take part in the decision making process at S-CAR as a student. Additionally, the open forum provides an opportunity for students to reflect on their experiences at S-CAR, express their concerns, and help prioritize issues they would like the SA to address with the faculty and administration. Everyone who attends will be provided with the opportunity to speak. Please direct comments, questions, and concerns to [email protected]
The student association exists to promote the use of responsible, collective decision making processes within the S-CAR community. The student association is also a forum that nurtures student initiative and creativity. SA offers the opportunity for students to articulate and discuss their thoughts, ideas, and needs and to take action on them. Among the principal benefits of participating in SA are the chance to maximize contact with the faculty, shape S-CAR's direction and culture, network with other students, build friendships and profession associations.
