Biography

Seth Cohen is a facilitator, mediator, and trainer with knowledge and professional experience in interpersonal and intercultural communication, collaborative problem solving, peacebuilding, and conflict resolution. Seth works with USACE’s Conflict Resolution & Public Participation Center of Expertise (CPCX) and for the Institute for Water Resources (IWR).

Seth has over 15 years of professional experience teaching, training, and facilitating for diverse groups of adults and youth in Latin America, Africa, Asia, and in the Southwestern United States. Seth has led a number of workshops on peacebuilding, mediation, collaborative problem-solving, and Shared Vison Planning in such locations as Bolivia, Uganda, Kenya, Zanzibar, Mauritius, India, and Mongolia. He has facilitated meetings on issues of identity conflict, environmental contamination, land-use development, and water issues, including a number of meetings with Native American Tribes.

Seth has a PhD in Conflict Analysis& Resolution from George Mason University (2013) and an M.A. in Intercultural Communication from the University of New Mexico (2002). He earned his Bachelor of Arts at Colorado College (1993) in History/Political Science with an emphasis on Latin America and Africa. Seth is originally from Santa Fe, NM and currently resides in Denver, CO.
