Without the cooperation and efforts of a large number of people we could not have succeeded in creating a consensus building process. To all of the participants we offer a special thank you. More than seventy people participated in our stakeholder dialogues providing us personal accounts and reflective wisdom of their experiences with Virginia’s involuntary civil admission process to inpatient and outpatient services. In particular we want to thank the staff from the various Community Services Boards— Michele Breckenridge (Alexandria), Cindy Kemp and Faye Carroll (Arlington), Jim Thur, James Kelly, and Ruth A. Gerber (Fairfax-Falls), and Rita Romano (Prince William)—who provided a significant role in setting up and coordinating the meetings and supporting the activities.
