Solon Simmons, Assistant Professor at the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University, following Obam's Inaugural Address. Simmons speaks to the importance of Afghanistan as an important but overlooked battleground for the United States that has been at the heart of the US struggles against the Soviet Union and is now a failed state that plays a host to extremists. In Part 2, Simmons speaks to Obama's promise to withdraw from Iraq and the war weariness of Americans.
