From 2003-2004, Dr. Dwyer, in collaboration with Indonesian anthropologist/human rights activist Degung Santikarma, received a Research Fellowship from the Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation to support 24 months of field research in Indonesia on the cultural and political landscapes that emerged in the aftermath of the 1965-66 state-sponsored massacres of alleged communists.
